Germany
The tradition of glass Christmas ornaments originated in Lauscha, Germany and exploded in popularity during the mid 1800’s following an illustration of Queen Victoria's Christmas tree in a London paper. The royal palace tree was adorned with glass ornaments from Prince Albert's native Germany. Germany is best known for precision in both glass blowing and painting detail.

Each design is limited to the production of 25 pieces for this season.

Poland
Known for their blown glass articles and vessels first, Poland glass factories began making ornaments in the late 1800’s through the 1930’s. Modern makers are primarily known for molded, figural glass however there are higher skilled glass blowers who can create free-form drops and reflectors. Similar in style to German glass, the Poland version is most recognized for the extensive, colorful patterns and generous glitter accents.
Czech Republic
Commercial ornamental beads were created in Czechoslovakia as early as 1845. These reflective garlands became quite popular as tree decorations in Europe and North America during the early 1900s. Through the last century, advanced shapes, paint and hardware allow for more complex creations. These modern interpretations focus primarily on the clip-on feature. This is the ideal solution to fill the tops of branches where an ornament won’t reach.
